Mr. Johnson started his career with the National Broadcasting Company in 1979. After several managerial positions in Broadcast and Technical Operations at WNBC TV New York and NBC4 Washington, he spent his last 11 years with the company in sales and marketing. During that time, Mr. Johnson handled account supervision, utilized audience research, and coordinated local sales presentations for events including the NBC® Summer and Winter Olympics and the NFL™ Super Bowl. His later work in television was concentrated in media and event management with the execution of community programs and marketing campaigns that contributed to the success of the NBC owned and operated television station in Washington, DC, NBC4. This station's average gross annual sales are more than $100 million.
